Ballet

Often referred to as the foundation of dance, Ballet is the most technically intricate of all the dance disciplines. Combining poise, control, strength and elegance to create a seemingly effortless art form, allowing dancers to express emotion, and tell stories through dance. 

Classes available for children and adults.

Ballet examinations are taken with the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance.

Tap

 An intricate, dynamic and above all else rhythmic dance style. Tap dance is a form of dance characterised by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion, there are many different stylistic influences which will be explored.  Tap is an integral element of a budding professional dancers training.  

Examinations are offered with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.

Acro

Acro is a style of dance that combines classical technique with fluid acrobatic movements. Dancers incorporate gymnastic skills into their dance routine to the rhythm of the music. Acro dance requires a significant amount of agility, strength, balance and flexibility.  

Acro examinations are taken in accordance with the internationally renowned Acrobatic Arts Syllabus.

Modern

Modern Theatre Dance is a diverse dance form which explores various influences and styles whilst developing a dancers strength and flexibility by following a structured syllabus. Although influenced by ballet, modern is less technical with an emphasis on free and expressive movement.

Examinations available with the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing.

Contemporary

For those who want to throw themselves into a dance quite literally, this is the style for you. Contemporary dance is difficult to define as it is so broad, it is unrestricted expressive and free.


Contemporary Examinations can be taken with the National Association of Teachers of Dancing.

Latin American

Currently just for Adults!

Whether you are learning Latin for the first time or polishing up your skills, this fun relaxed class has something for you.  From the cheeky Cha-cha to the passionate Paso', why not pop along with or without a partner. You can keep fit, socialise and learn something new. 

(Examinations not currently offered on adult classes)

Adult Tap

Tap is a great way to keep fit and have a fun with like minded people whilst tapping your troubles away


Classes on Monday's 7pm - 8pm at the Eventide Community Hall, Stanley Common

Toddle in Time

Introducing Relevétion's music & movement classes.


These classes are a fun introduction to dance for ages 2 - 5.  A feast for the imagination with familiar songs and exciting props to explore whilst building confidence and 

co-ordination.
